Liverpool has “offered €70 million” to Lille for striker Victor Osimhen, according to Italian journalist Diego De Lucas
If Liverpool is genuinely interested Osimhen, then the Reds apparently have some competition from another Premier League club to secure the services of the striker, according to De Lucas.
The report from AreaNapoli, which has been cited by Sport Witness, claims that De Lucas has stated that Tottenham Hotspur has also made an offer of €70 million for Osimhen.
Liverpool is definitely interested in a striker, but I don’t think it is Osimhen. That statement can be backed up by the fact that Liverpool has been heavily linked with RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.
Osimhen is not a name that has been mentioned by a journalist somewhat close to Liverpool. That does suggest that De Lucas’ claim should not be taken too seriously.
Besides, Osimhen’s current market value is €27 million. I doubt the club would offer €70 million for a player that possesses a current market value of €27 million.
